This page highlights the different email setup a user can configure to email out of RFMS.
Emailing options:
- Local Outlook: utilizes the local Outlook application as its preferred method of sending emails when called. It will open a separate Outlook mail window when the user tries to send an email. ONLY compatible with Outlook (classic)
- Gmail: sends an SMTP email via the Gmail credentials set by the user. On their first email attempt, the user will be prompted to enter the email and password credentials of their Gmail account, before the email is sent.
- Office 365: sends an SMTP email via the Office 365 credentials set by the user. On their first email attempt, the user will be prompted to enter the email and password credentials of their Office 365 account, before the email is sent.
- SMTP: sends an SMTP email using the settings specified. (see below)
Email Settings:
- Add your name
- Add Email Address
- Signature - This can be optional, but you can add your own signatures here.
SMTP Server Info
Outbound (SMTP) Server Name: This will need to be provided by your local IT Team or service provider
SMTP Port: This can also provided by your IT Team
Login User Name: This is your email address
Login Password: This is your email password
Server Authentication:
Tick Outbound Server Authentication Required
Username for Authentication : This is your email address
Password for Authentication: This is your password for your email
Tick Use secure connection (TLS)
