Open RFMS and click on Order Entry.
Once in Order Entry, go to Customer Quotes (It should automatically open here or if not, it will open to Customer Orders, in which case go to File > Customer Quotes. Another visual clue that you are in Quotes is the green bar to the right.
To add a new quote, click the green plus icon.

Any pink fields within RFMS are compulsory.
Click into the pink SOLD TO box, this will open the customer file. In the search box search the customer. If the customer is not already in the customer file use the green plus icon.
Again, the pink boxes must be filled in. Where there is an ellipsis menu use this and choose from the menu. Same with drop down menus.
To pull the line through, double click or use the selection finger. Complete the box and click OK. Pulling a line through means selecting it so it appears on the main screen.
Use the drop down box and select the sales person.
To insert the lines into the quote use the green plus icon at the bottom left of the screen.
You will be returned with a box “Adding Quote Line”.
In this example we are going to quote for a carpet installation. So first we will click on Roll Products and be returned with this screen.
In the search bar type in what you are looking for, and then click on the colour.
You can search by product name, style, or even the colour. Or you can go to the filter (binoculars) icon.
Again, double click (on the colour) or use the selection finger to bring through the blue highlight line into the quote.
Insert the bill quantity you require and click ok.
Do the same for all the lines you need to pull through on your quote.
If you have templates set up, click on the template icon at the bottom middle of the screen.
Template > Select Product Template Name > Tag Products/Services > Selection Finger to add tagged lines to quote.
To tag highlight the line and use the tag icon at the bottom of the screen or click in the space beside the PC number.
Once back in the quote click each lint to open it and put in the quantity.
Once all the quantities are in you will see your quote total on the right-hand side.
In this case, the box below “Adjust Total” is indicating that this quote has a GP of 29.15%
The Adjust Total icon allows you to change the total, and it will distribute the difference between all the lines.
I want to change the total to reflect a higher GP.
Process. Click yes to the next box. And now my quote has a GP of 33.41%
Save, and you have now created a quote.
