Searching Inventory By Dye Series

If you carry stock, short ends can become an issue. You can minimise these by using this tool to better identify rolls from which cuts should be taken.

In the example below, we are looking for 22.0m of Alabama Mist. I have searched for “Alabama Mist” and see only the product I am looking for.

I select a line to highlight it, then click the triangle icon on the ribbon at the top of the screen.

The next screen presents all my Alabama Mist inventory split up into quantities by dye series.

I can highlight a line and select Create Filter for Lot in order to see the cuts available within a dye series.

Using this tool, I can select the dye series that I want to take my 22.0m. If I can see that there are stairs in the job, or that a room is disconnected from other rooms, I might use up a short end.
