Markup Hierarchy:

Smart Markup Detection:
If an inventory item already has an implied markup (difference between cost and sell price), additional category markups are skipped to prevent double-charging.

Pricing Methods:

• Per Running Meter/Yard
  Linear pricing for narrow-width fabrics
  Cost × meterage × markup
   
• Per Square Meter/Foot
  Area-based for wide-width fabrics
  Cost × area × markup
   
• Fixed Price
  Flat rate regardless of size
  Used for standard products
   

Discount Application:
Discounts apply to retail price (after markup), not cost price.
